Graduation Speech
"Knock Knock, who's there? us, us who? The graduating class of 2018!" Hello everyone! I'm one of the graduates from the class 2018, in Golf Middle School. I feel so ecstatic to finally grow into a new and different environment with all my fellow classmates. I remember the time when we all played duck duck goose the day after Camp McLean. I got tagged, but sadly lost. I also remember the time where I fell in music class. It hurt, but it was good to know that the seats were arranged in a safe place after the incident. As we leave Golf Middle School, I would just like to tell the new 8th graders to just be yourself, study as best as you can, knowing that you tried hard, and to take risks at times when you want to but feel scared to do. For example, talking in front of a class, acting in some plays, and do things that you are afraid to do in school because you might not have the chance to do it again. I thank Mr. Carris for being chill when you teach us social studies, Mrs. Conejo for holding your grudge when we talk in a gringo way and for teaching us Spanish, Mr. Carro for teaching us topics in math that I didn't even know about, Mrs. Joyner for keeping up with the groans when you talk about poems and for giving us an excitement about English and literature, especially books, Mrs. Vojack and Mr. Atwood for keeping us healthy and fit. I have learned through the years, that I should go for the things I want to do and to just not be scared. As I am about to graduate middle school, there will always be plans of what I want to achieve or do such as going to clubs in high school, getting good grades, meeting new people and being satisfied of what I do and who I am. "There will be times when your best isn’t your good enough. There can be many reasons for this, but as long as you give your best you’ll be OK." -Robert DeNiro. Just be yourself, try your best and never give up. Thank you for listening to my speech!
